Correx Boards, A1 Correx Board (594 x 841mm)
An A1 correx board is 594 x 841mm (59.4 x 84.1cm), printed on 3 to 4mm correx, a light, rigid and waterproof fluted plastic. It is a good size for estate agent boards, election and campaign signs, building site notices and event directions: big enough to read from the road or pavement, light enough to carry and fix.
Our boards are 3mm or 4mm correx (fluted polypropylene), depending on the size and quantity, printed in full colour on one side or both, from a single board. Our correx board sizes guide compares sizes, and you can download the A1 correx template with the 5mm bleed and safe area marked.

A1 Correx Board (594 x 841mm) FAQs
Why does correx need 5mm bleed?
Bleed is extra background beyond the trim, so a small shift in cutting never leaves a white edge. Correx boards need 5mm of bleed on every edge, more than the 3mm used for paper print. Set your page up at 604 x 851mm, run colour and images right to its edge, and keep text 10mm inside the trim.
Can I print a different design on each side?
Yes. Choose double-sided and supply a two-page PDF, with the front on page 1 and the back on page 2. This suits boards that face two ways, such as an estate agent board at right angles to the road, or a direction sign with arrows pointing the right way on each side.
Is A1 big enough for an election board?
A1 gives room for a name, a party or campaign logo and a short slogan in large type. Election boards must carry an imprint showing who printed and who promoted them; the Electoral Commission publishes guidance for candidates and campaigners. Please contact us before ordering election boards.
How far from the edge should text be?
At least 10mm from the trimmed edge. That keeps text clear of any cutting variation and of fixings such as cable ties or clips you may add. For signs read from a distance, leave more space than that around the edge; a clear margin also makes the board easier to read.
Can correx boards stay outside?
Yes. Correx itself is waterproof, so boards are suited to outdoor signs such as site notices and property boards. How long the print stays bright depends on sun and weather, so correx suits signs that stay up for weeks or months. For a bigger board, we also print A0 correx at 841 x 1189mm.
