Business Cards, Matt Laminated Business Cards
Matt laminated business cards are UK standard 85 x 55mm cards on 400gsm silk card, printed in full colour and finished with a thin matt film on both sides. The laminate gives a smooth, low-sheen surface that resists scuffs and finger marks better than a card with no laminate.

Supply a PDF in CMYK with fonts embedded or outlined: the front on page 1 and the back on page 2. The laminate goes on after printing, so it does not change the artwork set-up.

What does matt lamination do to a business card?
A thin film is applied to the front and back after printing. It removes the slight shine of the silk card, gives a smooth, even surface, and makes the card more resistant to scuffs and finger marks than a card with no laminate, so cards stay neat in a wallet or pocket for longer.
Matt or soft-touch laminate: which should I choose?
Both protect the card. Matt laminate is smooth with a low sheen. Soft-touch laminate has a velvety feel when you hold the card. Choose matt for a clean, classic finish and soft-touch when the feel of the card is part of the impression you want to make.
Do I need to change my artwork for a laminated card?
No. Set up the card at 91 x 61mm with 3mm bleed, keep text 5mm inside the trim, and supply a two-page PDF for front and back. Keep text at 6pt or larger and lines at least 0.25pt thick, as on any business card, so small details print cleanly.
What card are matt laminated cards printed on?
400gsm silk card, the same card as our cards without a laminate, with the matt film added to both sides after printing. 400gsm is several times the weight of everyday printer paper, so the card feels solid in the hand. Our business cards page lists every option.
What is the minimum order?
100 cards per design. Cards with different names count as separate designs, each with its own minimum of 100, so a team of four needs four designs. The price table on this page shows double-sided matt laminated cards with VAT included, and delivery is free to UK mainland addresses.
