Estate and letting agents print three things again and again: a board for each property, leaflets for the streets around it and business cards for every negotiator. We print correx for sale and to let boards in A3, A2, A1 and A0 from a single board, leaflets in A6, A5, A4 and DL from 100, and business cards from 100 per person, with 85 x 55mm on 400gsm silk as standard. A single-sided A1 correx board costs £28, and 500 double-sided A5 leaflets on 170gsm silk cost £37, with free delivery to UK mainland addresses.
The three things agents print
| Product | Used for | Sizes | Smallest order |
|---|---|---|---|
| Correx boards | For sale and to let boards, development and commercial boards | A3, A2, A1, A0 | 1 board |
| Leaflets | Just listed, just sold, valuation offers, area updates | A6, A5, A4, DL | 100 per design |
| Business cards | Every negotiator, valuer and lettings manager | 85 x 55mm | 100 per design |
Our estate agents and property page brings all three together.
For sale and to let boards
Our boards are correx: fluted polypropylene board, 3mm or 4mm thick depending on the size and quantity, light, rigid and waterproof. That is why it is the usual material for agents' boards.
| Size | Board size | Artwork with 5mm bleed | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 | 594 x 841mm | 604 x 851mm | The usual size for a residential board |
| A2 | 420 x 594mm | 430 x 604mm | Window, fence and garden boards |
| A3 | 297 x 420mm | 307 x 430mm | Small or indoor signs, directional arrows |
| A0 | 841 x 1189mm | 851 x 1199mm | Development and commercial sites |
A few practical points:
- Double-sided for posts. A board on a post at right angles to the road is seen from both directions, so choose double-sided. The two sides can be different designs: put the front on page 1 and the back on page 2.
- Keep it readable from the street. A board is read from a passing car or across the road, so use the agency name, "For sale" or "To let", and a phone number or web address, in large, bold type. Leave out small print.
- Bleed and safe area. Boards need 5mm of bleed on every edge, and text at least 10mm inside the trim, further if you fix through the corners.
- Holes. Our boards come without holes. If you need them, contact us before you order. Our guide to correx board sizes and fixing covers fixing a board to a post or fence.
Some live prices for A1 boards: one single-sided board costs £28, 10 cost £124, and 10 double-sided boards cost £145. Our guide to how much correx signs cost shows every size and quantity.
There are rules on the size, number and removal of property boards, and they differ between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This guide does not cover them; our estate agents page summarises the rules for England with links to the regulations, and your local planning authority can advise.
Estate agent leaflets
Leaflets keep the agency's name in front of homeowners between moves. The common types:
- Just listed: to the streets around a new listing, with one photo, the street name and an invitation to register.
- Just sold: after a sale, inviting neighbours to book a valuation.
- Valuation offers and market updates: a regular leaflet to a target area.
A5 (148 x 210mm) gives room for a large photo and a short message on each side; DL (99 x 210mm) fits a DL envelope and suits a letter-style leaflet. 170gsm gloss or 170gsm silk feels more substantial than 135gsm for a leaflet that represents the agency.
| Quantity | A5, 170gsm silk, double-sided | DL, 170gsm silk, double-sided |
|---|---|---|
| 250 | £35 | £27 |
| 500 | £37 | £32 |
| 1,000 | £47 | £38 |
Each listing's leaflet is a separate design, starting at 100 copies. To work out a quantity, count the homes in the streets you plan to cover, multiply by the number of drops, add spares for the office and viewings, and round up. Our guide to how many leaflets you need has a calculator, and our leaflet design tips cover layout. Leaflets are zero-rated for VAT where they qualify, so there is no VAT to add to these prices.
Business cards for every negotiator
Agents hand out cards at valuations, at viewings and whenever a buyer registers. Each name is a separate design, because prices and minimum quantities are per design, so a branch of six people orders six designs. Keep one master layout with the agency's logo, colours and branch details, and change only the name, job title, mobile number and email.
- Front: agency logo, the person's name and job title.
- Back: direct mobile, email, branch phone number and address, web address, and a QR code to the branch page or a valuation booking form if you use one.
- Finish: on our standard 400gsm silk card, no finish, matt laminate or soft-touch laminate; gloss laminate, foil and raised spot UV are also available. Use the same card and finish for the whole team, so every card matches.
250 double-sided cards with matt laminate cost £25 per person, VAT included. Our business card design tips cover layout and text sizes.
Keeping it consistent and quick to reorder
Use the same logo, colours and fonts on boards, leaflets and cards, so a buyer who sees the board, gets the leaflet and meets the negotiator sees one agency. Keep each item as a print-ready PDF and change only the address, photo or name each time. Our free templates for correx boards, leaflets and business cards give the artwork size with bleed and the safe area marked.
Every upload gets a free automatic check for size, bleed, colour mode, resolution and fonts, and you approve an on-screen proof before you pay. The check does not read your words, so check each address, price and phone number yourself. See proofs and file checks.
VAT and delivery
Leaflets are zero-rated for VAT where they meet HMRC VAT Notice 701/10; correx boards and business cards are standard-rated, and their prices include VAT at 20%. Every paid order has a VAT invoice. Our VAT on printing page explains the rules. Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses, and the dispatch time for each product is shown on its page.
Questions
What size are estate agent for sale boards? A1 (594 x 841mm) is the usual size for a residential board. We also print A2, A3 and A0 correx boards, single or double-sided, from one board. The artwork for an A1 board is 604 x 851mm, including 5mm of bleed on every edge.
Do you print double-sided estate agent boards? Yes. Choose double-sided for a board on a post that is seen from both directions. Put the front on page 1 and the back on page 2 of the same PDF; the two sides can be different.
What size should estate agent leaflets be? A5 (148 x 210mm) is the most common for just-listed and just-sold leaflets, because it gives room for a large photo. DL (99 x 210mm) fits a DL envelope and suits a letter-style leaflet. A6 works as a postcard-style reminder.
Can each negotiator have their own business cards? Yes. Each name is a separate design, starting at 100 cards. Keep one master layout and change only the name, job title, mobile number and email, so every card in the branch matches.
Do your boards come with holes? No, our correx boards are supplied without holes. If you need holes for fixing, contact us before you order. Keep text at least 10mm inside the trim, and further in if you fix through the corners.
Is there VAT on estate agent printing? Leaflets are usually zero-rated where they meet HMRC's conditions. Correx boards and business cards are standard-rated, and our prices include VAT at 20%. Every paid order has a VAT invoice, so a VAT-registered agency can usually reclaim it.
